Public Health France Barometers
The Santé publique France Health Barometer: a survey of health-related behaviors, opinions, and knowledge designed to guide public health prevention and education policies.
The Santé publique France Barometers are one of the largest national health surveys: since 1992, they have covered more than 30 topics, including smoking, nutrition, well-being, sleep, living conditions, and vaccination practices.
The survey provides a better understanding of the opinions, habits, and health status of the population residing in France. Its objective is to guide prevention and information policies.
Participants are contacted via randomly dialed phone numbers, and in 2021, they are invited to complete a questionnaire that takes an average of 30 minutes. Only one person per household is interviewed. To ensure that the data collected best reflects the population’s perceptions and habits, it is very important that each selected person agrees to participate. All age groups, all regions, and all living situations are included. This survey is of particular interest in the current context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Santé publique France would like to thank in advance all those contacted by Ipsos as part of this survey for their cooperation and the time they agree to devote to the interviewers. The data obtained will be invaluable for research and prevention.
The initial results of this study will be released in 2022.
