Lower-income communities benefit less from the benefits of urban greening [Interview]

The European research project Green Locally Unwanted Land Uses (GreenLULUs) analyzes the impact of urban greening projects on the sociology of the neighborhoods where they are implemented. In the European and North American cities studied, the creation of parks and greenways generally leads to the displacement of middle- and lower-income households from renovated areas. However, tools exist to prevent this phenomenon.
