Independence for the Elderly: A Health Promotion Training Program for Home Health Aides

Starting in 2007, the CNSA and INPES worked to establish a training program designed to strengthen home care aides’ skills in maintaining and protecting the independence of older adults. In 2008–2009, this training program was piloted in four regions. In 2010–2011, it was rolled out in twenty-six French regions.
