High-quality early interactions: a vital safeguard against negative childhood experiences
For a child, it is essential to grow up in a stable and nurturing environment that provides emotional security. Scientific research shows just how much an individual’s future development and physical and mental health depend on what happens during the first 1,000 days of life. Parent-infant interactions are therefore at the heart of prevention strategies and support interventions. This shift is embodied in the concept of “early relational health,” which emphasizes family well-being, parenting skills, resilience, and community resources.
