Early Childhood: The Effectiveness of Home Visiting Programs.

The first year of life is the most critical for a child’s development. Public policies targeting this period have proven effective. By addressing the determinants of health, they can reduce social inequalities in health and even break the vicious cycle of intergenerational poverty. Evaluations show that structured home-visit programs are effective in improving children’s health. Children who have benefited from early childhood support programs will also exhibit healthier behaviors and better mental health as adults.
