When Alcohol Companies' Marketing Shapes Behavior and Public Policy

Their lobbying efforts with public authorities are effective in undermining any measures aimed at reducing consumption of their products, as demonstrated by the setbacks suffered by the Évin Law. The marketing strategies of these multinational corporations are also a powerful tool for encouraging the purchase of alcoholic beverages, which feature attractive packaging and are available everywhere and at all hours.
