People with fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) have vulnerabilities that increase their risk of becoming involved in the criminal justice system as victims or offenders. In Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the FASD & Justice project raises awareness among professionals in the field about identifying these disorders, with the aim of promoting appropriate care and tailored practices.
