Monkeypox Cases in France: 2023 Update.

In 2023, 52 cases of monkeypox virus infection (or “mpox cases”) were reported in France, including 5 with a symptom onset date in 2022.
Only one woman was identified among the 52 cases.
All cases were adults.
Cases residing in the Centre-Val de Loire region were the most numerous in 2023 (37%), followed by those residing in Île-de-France (29%).
The majority of cases reported in 2023 stated that they had not identified contact with another mpox case (67%).
Only one case (2%) was hospitalized (information unavailable for one case). No deaths were reported.
