In Week 32 (August 3–9, 2026), the number of emergency department visits remained stable compared to the previous week across all age groups. The number of hospitalizations following a visit was down among children under 2 years of age (-6%, or 150 fewer hospitalizations) and stable in other age groups.

Most indicators were stable or declining among both children and adults. However, there was an increase in the use of emergency services at levels comparable to previous years:

• Among children under 15 years of age for conjunctivitis (+21%, or +70 visits), chickenpox (+19%, or +38 visits), and dehydration (+26%, or +18 visits),
• Among children under 2 years of age for specific abdominal pain (+11%, or +66 visits) and vomiting (+8%, or +35 visits),
• Among those aged 2–14, for skin and subcutaneous infections (+14%, or +153 visits),
• Among those aged 15–74, for various ENT conditions (+10%, or +371 visits) and chickenpox (+67%, or +26 visits),
• Among those aged 75 and older, for gastroenteritis (+16%, or +42 visits), dehydration (+13%, or +37 visits), and pneumonia (+6%, or +119 visits).

Emergency department visits for suicide attempts are also on the rise among children under 15 (+28%, or +27 visits) and adults aged 65 and older (+18%, or +27 cases), at levels comparable to previous years.
