Key Points

  • In Week 13 (March 27–April 2, 2023), activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable across all age groups.

  • There was an increase in allergy-related visits among 2- to 14-year-olds (+20%) and among 15- to 74-year-olds (+23%).

  • Regarding respiratory conditions, the rise in cases continues for asthma among 2- to 14-year-olds (+8%, or +32 cases) and among adults (+19%, or +119 cases), and for suspected COVID-19 among children aged 2 to 14 (+35%, or +47 cases) and among those aged 15 to 74 (+14%, or +176 cases). Regarding digestive conditions, there was an increase in cases of vomiting among adults (+6%, or +18 cases) and among children under 2 years old (+17%, or +13 cases), and among those aged 75 and older for acute gastroenteritis (+17%, or +19 cases).

  • Among children, there was also an increase in procedures for scarlet fever (+10, or +28 procedures) and for dermatological conditions among children under 2 years of age (+34%, or +30 procedures). Finally, the increase in procedures for conjunctivitis continues, albeit at a less pronounced rate but still at a high level compared to previous years, among both children and adults.
