Key Points
In Week 07 (February 9–15), the number of emergency department visits and subsequent hospitalizations decreased among children aged 2–14 (-12%, or 8,133 fewer visits and 662 fewer hospitalizations). Activity remained stable in other age groups compared to the previous week.
Emergency department visits for respiratory conditions were stable or down across all age groups. Influenza, in particular, saw the sharpest decline across all age groups (-31%, or 1,853 fewer visits).
Among other indicators, there was an increase in visits due to suicide attempts among those aged 65 and older (+29%, or +31 visits).
