Depression in France (2005–2010): Prevalence, Use of Healthcare Services, and the Public’s Perception of Information.
In the general population, according to the INPES Health Barometer, the prevalence of major depressive episodes over the past twelve months appears to have remained stable between 2005 and 2010. In contrast, the proportion of people who experience depressive disorders but have not used the services of an organization, consulted a healthcare professional, or undergone psychotherapy has dropped significantly, from 63% in 2005 to 39% in 2010.
