Depression affects three million French people.

According to the INPES Health Barometer survey, three million French people1 have suffered from depression in the past twelve months. And eight million people have experienced depressive symptoms that did not, however, meet the criteria for a diagnosed depressive episode. Women and the 20-25 age group are the most affected. Hence the need to improve prevention, information, and care.
