Key Points

Dengue, Chikungunya, and Zika

  • Since the last bulletin, three new episodes of local transmission have been identified: one dengue episode in Rognac in the Bouches-du-Rhône (1 case), one chikungunya episode in Antibes in the Alpes-Maritimes (1 case), and one chikungunya episode in Vitrolles in the Bouches-du-Rhône (1 case). In total, 20 locally transmitted cases of chikungunya and 3 locally transmitted cases of dengue have already been identified in the region in 2025.

  • Since the start of enhanced surveillance (May 1), 171 imported cases (+15 since the last update) have been identified in the region: 84 cases of dengue, 86 of chikungunya, and 1 case of Zika.

Heat Wave

  • No heat wave is currently underway or expected in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region in the coming days.

  • Heat-related activity among emergency services and SOS Médecins associations is declining in both networks and is below expected seasonal levels.

Monthly Report on Notifiable Diseases

  • Update on reports of Legionnaires’ disease, hepatitis A, invasive meningococcal disease (IMD), measles, and foodborne illness outbreaks (FBO) in Paca: 30 reports in June 2025, including 18 cases of Legionnaires’ disease, 3 cases of hepatitis A, 1 case of IIM, 6 cases of measles, and 2 outbreaks of foodborne illness.
