Epidemiological Situation

The increase in emergency department visits for gastroenteritis, observed since early August by the OSCOUR® hospital emergency surveillance network, continues in week 38. This upward trend is also observed among sentinel physicians. Both surveillance systems indicate that seasonal averages have been exceeded. Virological surveillance indicates that rotavirus is circulating in Réunion.
