  • Mayotte has been in the malaria elimination phase since 2014.

  • A gradual increase in the number of imported cases over the past 3 years (peaking in January 2024).

  • Plasmodium falciparum is the predominant species, accounting for nearly all imported cases reported in Mayotte.

  • Among the cases reported in 2024, 30% required hospitalization, including 4 admitted to intensive care. No deaths were recorded.
