  • From January 1 to March 5, 2024, 28 cases of leptospirosis were reported, representing half of all cases recorded throughout 2023;

  • A decreasing incidence compared to 2022, with an incidence rate of 19 per 100,000 inhabitants in 2023;

  • The rainy season from November 2022 to April 2023 was particularly brief, with a precipitation deficit unprecedented since 1997;

  • Since August 24, 2023, leptospirosis has been included on the list of notifiable diseases.
