Epidemiological Situation

Since early June, the number of visits for flu-like symptoms to sentinel physicians on the island and to emergency departments has risen sharply. Three types of viruses—A(H1N1)pdm09, non-H1N1 A, and B—are actively circulating. In addition, two people with severe cases of the flu are currently hospitalized in intensive care.
