Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

Dengue virus circulation continues in Mamoudzou as well as in two of the four other foci of local transmission identified in scattered areas of the island (Koungou and M'tsamoudou), and isolated cases are being reported in new municipalities.Given the current climatic conditions, which are highly conducive to the vector, the viral circulation is likely to continue intensifying in the coming weeks. The public and health professionals must remain vigilant in order to control mosquitoes and detect new cases early.
