Working at the local level to break women’s isolation.

Interview with Annick Maillot-Leu and Martine Ribaira, family mediators at the Réunisaf health network. At Réunisaf, mediators facilitate dialogue and provide ongoing support to women during pregnancy. This one-on-one approach, characterized by a willingness to listen, explains the positive results achieved through this preventive work. The facilitators also organize “role-playing exercises” with other professionals in the network to help them better address the needs of these families. But encouraging open communication and overcoming resistance takes time.
