Preventing Teen Pregnancy and Abortions Among Minors in Réunion.

The age at first pregnancy is lower in Réunion than in mainland France and the French West Indies, and the same trend holds true for abortions. Since 2008, a regional steering committee has established a Prevention and Support Plan for Teenage Pregnancy. Among other initiatives, adult mentors are trained to promote sex education programs in schools, in collaboration with local partners.
