Key points

Bronchiolitis

  • SOS Médecins: The number of procedures for the diagnosis of bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age decreased compared to the previous week. In week 45-2023, 29 cases involving a diagnosis of bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age were recorded, representing 7.4% of the overall activity of SOS Médecins associations in this age group (36 cases in week 44-2023).

  • Oscour® Network: Consultations for the diagnosis of bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age remained stable compared to the previous week, while hospitalizations increased.

COVID-19

  • SOS Médecins: cases involving suspected or confirmed COVID-19 increased compared to the previous week (151 cases, 320 cases per 10,000 consultations).

  • Oscour® Network: visits for suspected COVID-19 were up compared to the previous week (229 emergency room visits, or 82 per 10,000 consultations). Of these visits, 45% were followed by hospitalization.

Gastroenteritis and acute diarrhea

  • Sentinelles Network: The incidence rate of acute diarrhea cases seen in general practice for week 45-2023 was 66 per 100,000 inhabitants [28; 104], an increase compared to the previous week (32 per 100,000 inhabitants).

  • SOS Médecins Network: Gastroenteritis activity was moderate in week 45.

  • Oscour® Network: Gastroenteritis activity was low in week 45, and visits across all age groups for a diagnosis of gastroenteritis were stable compared to the previous week.
