Key Points

Acute respiratory infections

  • SOS Médecins: Procedures for the diagnosis of lower respiratory tract infections were up compared to the previous week.

  • Oscour®: visits and hospitalizations following visits for lower respiratory tract infections remained relatively stable compared to the previous week.

Bronchiolitis

  • SOS Médecins: Procedures for the diagnosis of bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age were up compared to the previous week.

  • Oscour®: Consultations for the diagnosis of bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age were stable compared to previous weeks.

Influenza

  • In week 04-2024, the Occitanie region entered its 7th week of the epidemic. All syndromic indicators showed a marked increase, including the proportion of influenza viruses in virological activity at university hospitals. All twelve regions of mainland France are in the epidemic phase.

COVID-19

  • SOS Médecins: procedures for suspected or confirmed COVID-19 cases were down compared to the previous week.

  • Oscour®: Consultations for suspected COVID-19 were also down compared to the previous week.

Gastroenteritis and Acute Diarrhea

  • SOS Médecins: The incidence rate of acute diarrhea cases seen in general practice for week 04-2024 was stable compared to the previous week.

  • Oscour®: Gastroenteritis activity was moderate in week 04-2024.
