Vaccination in Normandy. Public Health Bulletin, April 2023.

Key Points

  • Normandy is one of the regions in France with the highest vaccination coverage rates.

  • HPV vaccination is on the rise in Normandy, but it remains very low among boys and still needs to improve among girls.

  • Seasonal flu vaccination is gradually losing ground among at-risk individuals, following the peak levels observed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Catch-up vaccinations and the first dose of the HPV vaccine have been offered since 2019 to seventh-grade students in middle schools in Calvados, Eure, Manche, and Orne by vaccination centers funded by the ARS. This service, which complements other vaccination options, will be expanded following the president’s announcements for the start of the 2023 school year.
