Key Points

  • Continued increase in vaccination uptake among infants subject to the expanded vaccination requirement:

    • 91.2% received a first dose of the meningococcal C vaccine (+4.2 percentage points compared to 2019)

    • 93.2% received the booster dose of the meningococcal C vaccine (+4.0 percentage points compared to 2018)

  • But growth has leveled off for other vaccines:

    • 93.1% received a third dose of the hexavalent vaccine (–0.5 percentage points compared to 2018)

    • 93.5% received a third dose of the pneumococcal vaccine (–0.4 percentage points compared to 2018)

    • 93.7% received a first dose of the MMR vaccine (+0.8 percentage points compared to 2018)

  • Increase in vaccination coverage among children born before the law took effect:

    • +5.9 percentage points for the first dose of the HPV vaccine among 15-year-old girls born in 2006 (56.7%) compared to girls born in 2005 (50.8%)

    • Increase in catch-up vaccination coverage against meningococcal C across all age groups

  • Increase in influenza vaccination coverage compared to the 2019–2020 season:

    • +6.3 percentage points among people aged 65 and older
