Key Points

Asthma

  • Following a sharp increase in the number of emergency department visits and the number of visits followed by hospitalization for asthma in S11, the number of emergency department visits for asthma in S14 continued to decline among people over 15 years of age and among children aged 2–14.

  • At SOS Médecins, asthma-related activity also saw a sharp decline for these two age groups.

COVID-19

  • SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater: Six of the seven wastewater treatment plants have interpretable results. In Week 14, an overall upward trend in the level of SARS-CoV-2 circulation in wastewater was observed. However, the intensity of viral circulation remained low.

  • At SOS Médecins and in emergency departments, activity related to suspected COVID-19 remained low and stable compared to the previous week.
