COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for the Hauts-de-France Region as of January 13, 2023.

Key Points

  • In urban areas, the number of people seeking care for suspected Covid-19 is declining in the regions covered by the SOS Médecins associations.

  • In hospitals, new admissions to general wards and intensive care units continue to decline. In emergency departments, visits for suspected COVID-19 and hospitalizations following visits for suspected COVID-19 are also decreasing.

  • Virological indicators from TAG show a downward trend, consistent with indicators from other surveillance systems.

  • Currently, just over one-third of people over 60—including fewer than one in five people over 80—have “up-to-date” vaccination protection against Covid-19 or protection adapted to the Omicron variants.
