Key Points

Influenza

  • The region has been in an influenza epidemic phase since week 50 of 2023.

  • OSCOUR®: The number of emergency room visits for flu-like symptoms, across all age groups, rose sharply in week 04-2024 compared to the previous week.

  • SOS Médecins: The number of consultations for flu-like symptoms, across all age groups, is also on the rise in week 04-2024.

Bronchiolitis

  • The region emerged from the post-epidemic phase in week 03-24.

  • OSCOUR®: In week 04-2024, the proportion of emergency department visits related to bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age fluctuated (7.3%), as did the number of visits (108 visits).

  • SOS Médecins: In week 04-2024, the proportion of activity at SOS Médecins clinics related to bronchiolitis is decreasing.

COVID-19

  • OSCOUR®: In week 04-2024, the number of emergency department visits for COVID-19 increased compared to previous weeks

  • SOS Médecins: In week 04-2024, the number of SOS Médecins consultations for COVID-19 remained stable compared to the previous week.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • OSCOUR®: The number of emergency room visits for gastroenteritis, across all age groups, increased in week 04-2024 compared to previous weeks.

  • SOS Médecins: The number of consultations for gastroenteritis is down in week 04-2024 (665 consultations), as is the share of activity for this condition (8.3%).
