Key points

Bronchiolitis

  • In emergency departments, visits for bronchiolitis are showing a slight increase, following a trend similar to last year. They account for 12.8% of all visits in week 04-2026, compared to 10.4% of visits in week 03-2026. Furthermore, in week 04, the number of SOS Médecins consultations for bronchiolitis increased and accounted for 6.9% of all consultations for this age group.

Influenza and Influenza-Like Illnesses

  • Flu-related activity in emergency departments decreased in week 04-2026 but remained at a high level (3.4% of all emergency department visits). In SOS Médecins clinics, flu-related activity remained stable, accounting for 17.3% of all consultations in week 04.

COVID-19

  • Both in hospitals and in community settings, the number of patients seeking care for suspected COVID-19 fluctuates at low levels (<1% of total activity).

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Emergency room visits and SOS Médecin consultations are fluctuating at levels typical for the season.
