COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for the Grand Est Region as of February 18, 2021

Key Points

In week 06-2021, the number of new cases continued the decline that began in week 05-21 (9,689 new cases compared to 11,247 in week 05-2021). The number of people tested is increasing (194,798 people in week 06-2021 compared to 190,172 in week 05-2021), with a sharp increase in testing activity among those aged 0–9 and 10–19. The incidence rate is declining (176 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants compared to 204.4 in week 05-2021). Although it remains close to the national incidence rate (190.2 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants), it has now fallen below it. In week 06-2021, the positivity rate (5%) continued the slight decline that began in week 05-2020 (5.9%).
