In Week 01-2023, SARS-CoV-2 circulation was sharply declining in the Centre-Val de Loire region. Virological indicators were down, as were new hospitalizations, admissions to intensive care, emergency room visits, and COVID-19 deaths. SOS Médecins calls remained stable.

  • Positivity rates and incidence rates from antigen tests are declining.

  • The BA.5 sublineage has been stable and predominant since week 24; among sequenced tests, the BQ1.1 sublineage has been predominant since week 44 (69.6% in week 51).

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Activity is increasing at SOS Médecins and stable in hospital emergency departments

Bronchiolitis

  • 13th week of the epidemic

  • Activity slightly up at SOS Médecins and down in hospital emergency departments

Influenza and influenza-like illness

  • 6th week of the epidemic

  • Activity is decreasing at SOS Médecins and in hospital emergency departments
