COVID-19

  • A gradual slowdown in the spread of SARS-CoV-2 across the entire region, with the number of people currently hospitalized stabilizing but remaining at high levels.

  • Incidence rate (IR) declining across all age groups and departments; highest IR among those aged 15–44 (474.3 per 100,000)

  • BA.5 sublineage on the rise and now dominant since week S24

  • Decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases in acute care hospitals

Gastroenteritis and acute diarrhea

  • In week 30, activity related to gastroenteritis was down in hospital emergency departments and at SOS Médecins

Extreme heat, heat wave

  • SOS Médecins: In week 30, activity related to gastroenteritis was down in hospital emergency departments and at SOS Médecins

  • Oscour® - Hospital emergency departments: In week 30, in the Centre-Val de Loire region, the number of heat-related emergency department visits (n = 47) was down compared to week 29 (n = 79) and accounted for 0.4% of all visits.

Monkeypox

  • As of August 2, 17 cases had been confirmed in the Centre-Val de Loire region
