Summary

Bronchiolitis: The epidemic peak was reached last week; there has been a sharp decline in emergency department visits this week. Accounts for 24% of diagnoses coded in emergency departments (most common condition for the 6th consecutive week). Viral circulation remains very active: RSV positivity rate = 44% at Rennes University Hospital (out of 75 samples) and 30% at Brest University Hospital (out of 50 samples)

Influenza and influenza-like illness: Data from next week should confirm the onset of a pre-epidemic phase. Use of SOS Médecins continues to rise, reaching a level close to that of previous years during the same period. Moderate viral circulation of type B at Rennes University Hospital; first isolation of influenza B virus at Brest University Hospital.
