Key points

Bronchiolitis

  • Activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable, with 6 cases out of 211 visits (2.8% in S10 vs. 5.1% in S-1).

  • Bronchiolitis-related activity in emergency departments has decreased, with 51 cases out of 814 visits (6.3% in S10 vs. 7.2% in S-1).

Influenza

  • Influenza-related activity continues to decline for SOS Médecins associations, with 166 cases out of 3,483 visits (4.8% in Week 10 vs. 7.7% in Week 9), as well as for emergency departments, with 101 influenza cases out of 14,892 visits (0.7% of visits vs. 1.0% in Week 10).

  • In the region’s medical-social facilities, 43 clusters of influenza cases have been reported since Week 51. This etiology accounts for the majority of reported cases since Week 02-2024.

  • Since November 2023, 54 severe cases of influenza admitted to intensive care (49 influenza A, including 2 A(H1N1), 2 influenza B, and 3 unspecified) have been reported.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Moderate activity

  • Activity at SOS Médecins clinics for acute gastroenteritis increased slightly, accounting for 6.9% of visits in Week 10 (vs. 5.3% in Week 1).

  • Emergency department activity for acute gastroenteritis is stable and moderate, with a visit rate of 1.4% in S10 (vs. 1.3% in S-1).

COVID-19

  • Activity for suspected COVID-19 is very low for SOS Médecins (0.1% vs. 0.2% in S-1) and in emergency departments (0.06% vs. 0.11% in S-1).

  • In the region’s long-term care facilities, very few clusters of COVID-19 cases have been reported since the beginning of the year (between 1 and 4 per week).
