Urban Planning and Health in Grenoble: Improving Residents’ Quality of Life [Interview].

The city of Grenoble began implementing health-promoting urban planning as early as 2007 with the development of its first EcoQuartier, Bonne. Fifteen years later, following a health assessment and consultation with residents, the local intermunicipal urban planning scheme (PLUI) for this urban community incorporates health as a criterion to be considered by developers, builders, and urban planners. This applies particularly to priority neighborhoods under the city’s urban policy (QPV).
