Epidemiological Situation of Dengue Fever in Guadeloupe. Update as of May 17, 2013.
Situation Analysis
The level of viral circulation has decreased over the past 8 weeks compared to the previous 8 weeks, as evidenced by all epidemiological surveillance indicators. Nevertheless, outbreaks are still active in two municipalities in Guadeloupe. The DENV-1, DENV-2, and DENV-4 serotypes have been co-circulating since the beginning of 2013; however, DENV-1 remains predominant. This situation continues to correspond to Phase 2, Level 1 of the Psage Dengue system: Phase of isolated outbreaks.
