COVID-19
- COVID-19 activity has been low for several weeks.
- The indicator for SARS-CoV-2 detection in wastewater is stable.
Acute gastroenteritis
- Activity related to gastroenteritis is increasing slightly in emergency departments (1.4% vs. 1.2% in Week 1) and decreasing in outpatient settings (6.0% vs. 6.9% in Week 1).
- Gastroenteritis activity among children under 15 accounts for three-quarters of all emergency department visits across all age groups; it is increasing in emergency departments this week (4.6% vs. 3.8% in Week 1) and remains stable in outpatient settings.
SurSaUD® Emergency Department Surveillance
- No unusual increase in all-cause activity at emergency departments and SOS Médecins clinics. Indicators remain at the levels observed during the same period in the two previous seasons.
Mortality
- No excess mortality from all causes and across all age groups has been observed since week 04.
- Excess mortality was observed during the first 3 weeks of 2026: weeks 01 and 03 for those aged 65–84 and week 02 for those aged 85 and older.
