Promoting physical activity for the health of older adults.
Professor Daniel Rivière coordinates the working group on "Physical and Sports Activities for Older Adults." In January 2014, he submitted his report to the government and put forward a number of recommendations. He emphasizes that physical activity is both possible and beneficial, regardless of a person’s level of independence. Several innovative approaches are proposed, including bringing in sports instructors to work in nursing homes.
