In week 33 (August 12–18), in the Indian Ocean region (during the back-to-school period in Réunion), there was a slight increase in the number of emergency department visits for asthma among children under 15 (+23%, or 7 more visits).

Nationally, asthma-related visits among children under 15 are up at SOS Médecins clinics (+35%) and stable in emergency room visits.
