JACARDI: Joint European Action on Cardiovascular Diseases and Diabetes

Launched in November 2023, the JACARDI (Joint Action on Cardiovascular Diseases and Diabetes) project is a major European initiative that will run through October 2027. Its goal is to support European Union member states in reducing the burden of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and associated risk factors, both at the individual and societal levels.

The project is part of the European Commission’s “Healthier Together” initiative on noncommunicable diseases and brings together partners from across Europe. It reflects a wide variety of cultural contexts, lifestyles, and healthcare systems, ensuring an approach tailored to the realities on the ground. To carry out its mission, JACARDI benefits from leading scientific support, notably from the World Health Organization (WHO) as well as other leading international scientific organizations.
