African Communities in the Île-de-France Region and HIV/AIDS.
The INPES conducted a survey on the knowledge, attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors of African populations regarding HIV/AIDS. Objective: to improve prevention efforts targeting these populations. The survey acknowledges the progress made and concludes that there is a need to strengthen initiatives targeting people with low levels of education, women, and those in vulnerable situations. The article presents the main findings of the survey and discusses the prevention measures that institutional and community stakeholders can implement to best meet the needs of African populations living in France.
