A very sharp increase in all national indicators, particularly hospitalizations, ICU admissions, and deaths
Rapid acceleration of the COVID-19 outbreak across the entire country
Significant increase in hospitalizations (+62%)
ICU admissions: 62% of people aged 65 and older; 89% with comorbidities
Increase in the number of deaths
Increase in the number of cases and deaths in long-term care facilities
Most affected regions: Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Île-de-France, and Hauts-de-France
Most affected metropolitan areas: Saint-Étienne, Lille, Lyon, and Grenoble
Overseas territories:
Continued increase in Martinique; downward trend in Guadeloupe and slight increase in French Guiana
Slight increase in Mayotte and upward trend in Réunion
