Ongoing Survey of Accidents in Daily Life (Epac) – 1999–2003. Bites

The basis of this database is the recording, in the emergency departments of several participating hospitals, of patient visits resulting from everyday accidents, including data on the injured person (age, sex, residence), their care (date and time of arrival at the emergency department, treatment, hospitalization if applicable), the characteristics of the accident (mechanism, location, activity, type of injury, injured body part), and the products (agents, elements) that caused or were involved in the accident.
