  • Nationwide, in Week 28 of 2026 (July 6–12), the number of deaths from all causes reported by INSEE continued to decline and appears to be returning to the usual range of expected numbers across all age groups (unconsolidated data).
  • At the regional level, excess mortality across all age groups was still observed in the Pays de la Loire region in Week 28 of 2026 (unconsolidated data).
  • In S29-2026 (July 13–19), at the national level, the number of electronically certified deaths reported by Inserm-CépiDc remained stable across all ages and age groups.
