Transportation: a key factor in improving people’s quality of life.

The expansion of public transportation and active modes of travel (walking, cycling) helps reduce pollution and improve quality of life. However, certain groups—starting with those who move away from major urban areas due to high rents—have no choice but to rely on cars. In some regions, such as the Lyon metropolitan area, good public transportation service helps reduce car use.
