Some public health research programs fail because those working on the ground were not consulted. [Interview]
Tim Greacen, who holds a Ph.D. in psychology, became a research director after advocating within organizations—notably Aides—for users to have a say in the field of public health. This unconventional career path gives him a unique perspective on intervention research in public health, which is based precisely on collaboration between researchers and project leaders. The research unit he leads is conducting several intervention studies on early childhood and psychiatry.
