Our goal: to make sure no student falls behind [Interview].

The vocational high school in Thiers is committed to adopting a different approach to make school enjoyable and to innovating in ways that help build self-esteem. The school has strengthened its outreach and communication with families, eliminated grades in the first year, and established the motto: “You are not a grade.” Other major changes include an adapted schedule, homework help and tutoring, weekly faculty meetings to monitor students struggling academically, and the appointment of a teacher dedicated to preventing dropouts.
