Health Promotion and Sustainable Development in Middle Schools in France and Belgium.

This article presents an assessment of the "École 21" initiative, which has been implemented in middle schools since 2008 to foster a culture focused on well-being and improving the school environment. The initiative involves developing programs to promote health and sustainable development in middle schools. About twenty schools in France and Belgium have been piloting the program since 2008. The evaluation highlights two key aspects of the program: methodological support and the involvement of the school principal.
