Health Alert for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Individuals.

The INPES survey of people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have hearing impairments paints a particularly troubling picture. It highlights poor mental health, higher rates of suicide attempts compared to the general population, distress in the workplace, difficulties accessing healthcare and appropriate care, and sexual experiences that are more often non-consensual. This situation calls for fundamental changes to improve the health of these populations.
