Cities: Key to the Health of Their Residents: Learn More [Bibliography]

To complement the special report on the topic of Healthy Cities, this "Further Reading" section offers a selection of bibliographic resources. The references were then organized into thematic subsets: societal aspects of public health in cities, public policies and initiatives, and sustainable development and health. Finally, key websites and resource organizations were identified. The websites were accessed on September 3, 2010.[article excerpt]
